Manor House - Cotswolds

A tired Manor House set in the most special of settings, with clients who had an extensive book collection and a wonderful collection of family heirlooms. Working with Sims Hilditch and Tom Howley, we overhauled the house from top to bottom, introducing a carefully considered extension to accommodate the much-needed ancillary functions of family life. By moving these spaces out of the main house, the principal rooms could become lighter, calmer and more generous, culminating in a stunning garden extension that opens the house directly onto expansive views and the landscape beyond. And, of course, there was space for all the family artwork, the books and the vertiginous grandfather clock.
